Thiers-Issard was originally founded in 1884 by Pierre Thiers who had a reputation for being a particularly skilful blacksmith, producing straight razors of the highest quality.
The Thiers-Issard Bucephale is a stunning razor made from real cows horn tip, featuring a decorated blade withan emblem of a horse balancing on its hind legs and the words "Bucephale" and 'Special Pour Peau Sensible' in 24k gold. Bucephale was the name of a horse belonging to Alexander the Great and is also the name given to a group of horses adorning the fountain in the Piazza del Quirinale in Rome.
The face of the blade has a shiny finish while the reverse side has a matte finish and the tang is stamped with the words 'Thiers-Issard Made In France'. This is one of the finest straight razors in the world and will take pride of place in any enthusiast's shaving collection.
